With an outstanding background as a life-long fencer and fencing instructor,  Sergey Schindler brings both his passion for fencing and his coaching expertise to the fencing strip, helping you learn and enjoy the exciting art of fencing!

 

Mr. Schindler has both fenced and coached at many fencing clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Stanford University Fencing Club,  Golden Gate Fencing Center in San Francisco and Sword Play Fencing Club in Pleasant Hill.

 

Sergey is a nationally ranked epee fencer and the finalist of several US Fencing National Championships, winning multiple Gold medals in Bay Area and state-wide tournaments, as well as a Silver Medal in the Men's Epee Team Division I National Championship.

 

He has helped to train the US Olympic Fencing Team, preparing US national athletes for grueling psychological and mental stress at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.

 

Mr. Schindler is also a nationally recognized referee, experienced in directing both US and international fencing events.
